End-to-end encryption is a method of securing communication in which only the sender and recipient can read the content of the message. Unlike traditional email, where emails are often stored in plaintext on servers, E2EE ensures that messages are encrypted before leaving the sender’s device and can only be decrypted by the recipient’s device. Even the email service provider cannot access the contents.
